3) GREEN PARTY IS SEEKING NEWSLETTER MANAGER
*****************************************************************
The Green Party is seeking a Newsletter Manager and writer to produce the Ohio Green Party Newsletter:
The volunteer position requires a party member to compile a regular electronic newsletter release for Ohio. This will require gathering State Coordinating Committee (CC) and local Green news and issues related information. It will also require the person to stay abreast of state Ohio local and National Green issues.
The person will need to work closely with the State web and data manager, State Secretary, Media Relations Rep and others serving the state CC.
The newsletter mannager should be prepared to produce this twice a month for distribution to our growing subscriber list. Distribution of the newsletter will occur thru the web and data manger. This kind of job is the entry point for many future leaders.
Everyone is welcome to contact us to learn more and this important position for building the Green Party of Ohio.

4) OHIO MEMBERSHIP DRIVE ANNIVERSARY: 830 GREENS

In one year, 830 Ohio citizens from 72 of Ohio's 88 counties have registered as members of the Green Party of Ohio (GPO). Our goal is to have members from every county by July 4th, 2003.

5) BOB FITRAKIS FOR COLUMBUS CITY COUNCIL

On Dec. 5, the Central Ohio Green Party endorsed Green Party member Bob Fitrakis for Columbus City Council. Two months later, 2,100 petitions were submitted to put Bob Fitrakis on the May 6 primary ballot for Columbus City Council.
Bob Fitrakis said, "With the corporate-sponsored Democrats exerting one-party control over both City Council and the Mayor's office, and the Republican Party standing for war and recession, I am proud to be the endorsed candidate of the Green Party, the only real alternative for peace, prosperity and strengthened civil liberties in Central Ohio."

7) MARCH 15 STATEWIDE ANTI-WAR CONVERGENCE

In concert with International ANSWER's March 15 "Emergency National Anti-War Convergence" on San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C., Columbus, OH will join the call with a statewide solidarity rally and march.
WHAT? Statewide solidarity rally and march on the Franklin County Courts building in downtown Columbus
WHEN? Saturday, March 15 - 1:00 PM
WHERE? Blackburn Park (near the Mt. Zion Church on Bryden Rd.)
The Committee for Justice in Palestine at The Ohio State University and the Columbus, OH chapter of Not In Our Name (NION) call on all people of conscience to take the streets on March 15 to demand peace and justice, to call for an end to immigrant detentions, and to protest the impending threat of war on Iraq.
