the dengue virus in Latin America and Rift Valley fever in the Middle East,
which can cause people to vomit blood, have expanded their deadly range. Mean-
while, an oyster disease has gained a foothold in Maine waters, the report
said. ***More: http://www.boston.com/dailyglobe2/172/nation/Disease_threat_cited_in_global_warming+.shtml***************************************************

of First Amend- ment violations which occurred at Ohio State University

the ACLU office in Cleveland (contact@acluohio.org)
in the manner set forth below. Each
report should be as brief and specific as possible, and contain the following
information: (1) the name and contact information of the person complaining;

12) THE UNRAVELING OF HEALTH INSURANCE ***************************************************
Strategies used to lower health care costs for in- surers and employers often
end up costing the consumer more in co-payments and deductibles. According
to a July 2002 Consumer Reports article, the higher costs to employees
is often not realized until they become sick or disabled. Those with chronic
conditions fre- quently pay three times more in out-of-pocket expenses
than those without such conditions. http://www.cmwf.org/media/releases/consumerreports_release06102002.html?link=11***************************************************

14) POCLAD SPEAKER IN CLEVELAND THURSDAY JUNE 27 ***************************************************
Over the last 200 years, U.S. business corporations have amassed not only
increasing economic power but governing power. Globalization is merely the
latest phase. NAFTA, WTO and the proposed FTAA are less trade deals than
corporate constitutions -- just as the US Constitution protected property
rights over human rights. This has been accomplished, and indeed powered by,
the story of how this nation was founded on the twin pillars of democracy
at home and justice abroad.Learn
what a difference the story makes and how we can go about creating one that
serves the interests of people, species and the planet.Thurs.,
June 27, 2002 Potluck 6:30 PM, Program 7:30 PM Peace House, 10916 Magnolia
Ave., University Circle, Cleveland Speaker: Mike Ferner, Co-Director, POCLAD,
a former two-term independent city Councilman from Toledo, a union organizer
with AFSCME, communications director with the Farm Labor Organizing Committee
(FLOC) and founder, Toledo Coalition for Safe Energy.Sponsored
by the American Friends Service Committee. For more information, 330-253-7151
or email AFSCole@aol.com.***************************************************
