David Ball has come in second in the primary!!!

Thank you to all the greens who stepped forward to help with this campaign.
David Ball made it through the primary and will proceed to the general election in November.

If we succeed in this race it will have a tremendous impact for the Greens in the midwest.

Of course we were out spent and the Dems. have many more volunteers than we do.
Now is the time to step forward and help David with $$ and with your time.
We will need all the help that Greens can give to put us over the top.

What we need to do locally:
Small Business Economic Revitalization.
Small businesses contribute significantly to the local economy so governments should create a formula for allocating city contracts which credits small businesses for local dollars spent.
Clean up the Ottawa River.
A clean Ottawa River would present a tremendous recreational resource that would increase economic opportunities for the surrounding community.
Streamline the criminal Justice system.
We waste significant tax dollars making our citizens appear in court for minor traffic violations and in pursuing a “get tough” attitude towards non-violent offenses, like curfew violations. Many of these kinds of offenses could be dealt with outside of a court room.
Make the reduction of Domestic Violence a priority.
We must do more to protect the most vulnerable members of our community. We can begin to do this by increasing counseling and support to the victims of domestic violence and by vigorously enforcing orders of protection.

What we need to tell Washington and Columbus:
Before we spend tax dollars on WAR, and on building Democracies in other places we must invest our tax dollars here at home.
We must fully fund our schools and develop meaningful educational reform that does not rely solely on testing.
We must have universal health care.
We must have fair inclusive elections, that allow every eligible citizen to vote and that count all of the votes all of the time.
